13 of the best horror movies streaming this October

Halloween is just around the corner and October gives horror fans extra incentive to go movie crazy.

Whether the plan is to stream an epic slasher movie yourself or invite friends over for a day of heart-pounding thrillers, Netflix has plenty of movies to keep any horror fan entertained.

From “It” to “The Conjuring 2,” here are 13 of the best horror movies to watch on Netflix this year.

“The”

The 2017 adaptation based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name tells the story of a group of outcasts who are forced to face their fears and a killer clown known as Pennywise, who preys on the town’s children every 27 years.

“The Conjuring 2”

The Warrens are once again called upon to help a family in need after a girl unknowingly releases a malevolent spirit into their home.

“Ouija: Origin of Evil”

When a woman impersonating a medium adds a Ouija board to her sets, her daughter unleashes a demon while trying to communicate with her late father.

A deaf writer’s quest for a solitary life in the woods falls apart when a masked killer appears at her window.

As the Lambert family recovers from their son’s recent possession by evil spirits, Renai realizes that her husband is battling some demons of his own.

“Brahms: The Boy II”

The sequel follows a family moving into a new home, where their son discovers a doll named Brahms and develops a bond with the evil living toy.

“The Bye Bye Man”

“Don’t say it, don’t think it!” These are the only words that may help three college students survive a visit from the Bye Bye Man after they unwittingly unleash the supernatural killer.

“Malicious”

The Netflix original tells the story of a brother and sister who fake their expertise in the paranormal and get a job at a haunted estate, where evil spirits turn out to be terrifyingly real.
