by Elon Musk has spoken about his relationship with his estranged daughter Vivian.
In addition to being the mastermind behind Paypal, Tesla, The Boring Company and SpaceX, 51-year-old Musk is also famous for fathering ten children, including one who died as an infant. But in an interview with The Financial Times Posted on Friday, Musk admitted that he “can’t win [them] all.”
Speaking about his transgender teenage daughter, Vivian, Mr Musk claimed their father-daughter relationship had been adversely affected after being influenced by people with a “neo-Marxist” mindset at the unspecified elite university she attends.
“It is complete communism. . . and a general feeling that if you’re rich, you’re bad,” Musk said Times. “The [the relationship] it may change, but I’m on really good terms with everyone else [children]. I can’t win them all.”
Earlier this year, Vivian, 18, decided to cut ties with Musk in court, saying he “is no longer alive[d] with or desire[ed] to relate to [her] biological father in any way, shape or form.” Vivian filed the request to change her name to match her new gender identity in Los Angeles County Superior Court in Santa Monica in April.
According to a TMZ reports, she wants her name to be Vivian Jenna Wilson, according to her gender identity and using her mother’s maiden name.
While Musk has blamed disagreements with his daughter on radical ideals, he has also made ambiguous remarks about transgender issues.
“I’m totally pro-trans, but all these pronouns are an aesthetic nightmare,” Musk said in a 2020 tweet.
Mr. Musk hinted at it The Financial Times that he found solace in his relationships with his other children. However, at least two of those children remained out of the public eye until recently, when she received documents Business Insider revealed that Musk fathered twins with Musk-led Neuralink executive Shivon Zillis.
Musk and Ms Zillis’ children were born in November 2021 – weeks before Mr Musk and on-again-off-again partner Grimes welcomed their second daughter Exa ‘Y’.
The SpaceX founder also shares a son, “X” with Grimes.
Musk met his first wife, Canadian author Justine Thomas, while the couple were studying at Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada. They married in 2000 and welcomed their first child in Nevada, Alexander Musk, two years later. Tragically, their first born died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) when he was 10 weeks old.
Mrs Thomas and Mr Musk had twins – Griffin and Xavier Musk – in 2004 and triplets – Kai, Saxon and Damian Musk – in 2006.
In his interview with The Financial TimesMr Musk predicted that civilization “won’t die with a thump, it will die with a whimper in adult diapers” and said it may have more children in the future.
His comments to the outlet are reminiscent of remarks he made last year at a business conference.
“There aren’t enough people,” Mr. Musk said at the sponsored event The Wall Street Journal. “If people don’t have more children, civilization will collapse – mark my words.
