Mom June Shannon’s ex-boyfriend Geno Doak has ended his social media hiatus and fans are loving the latest update on his life.
On Thursday, the former reality star took to Instagram to share a photo of himself posing for a camera while standing inside a new home.
“What’s up everyone?” he captioned the snap which also showed him smiling.
Doak’s post was quickly met with a flurry of positive messages as many fans expressed their joy at seeing him healthy and well.
“You look so happy and full of life @doakgeno!!!” wrote one.
“Keep doing what you’ve been doing, you look fresh and healthy,” added another.
“Looking good and healthy Geno. Keep up the good work,” commented a third user.
Mama June and Geno dated for nearly six years before calling it quits last year. Their breakup was shown in a season 6 episode “Mama June: Road to Redemption” in May this year.
Before their split, the former couple made headlines for various scandals, including the abandonment issue of mom June when she decided to call it quits with Geno and leave her daughters Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon and Alana “Honey Boo Boo” behind. Thompson, in early 2019.
The two were also arrested at an Alabama gas station in March 2019 on charges of domestic violence and possession of crack cocaine. While Mama June managed to avoid a prison sentence, Doak was sentenced to 16 months in August 2021.
But even before her assessment, mum June had already confirmed on social media that they had called it quits. In a live chat with her fans, she said: “Listen, Jeno’s not in the f—in picture [anymore].”
Mama June has moved on from their split and even tied the knot with tattoo artist Justin Stroud in a courthouse ceremony in Georgia in March.
Meanwhile, it was unclear if Doak started seeing anyone after Mama June. Before taking a break from social media, he showed off his physical transformation by posting a snap looking slimmer and fitter than the last time fans saw him on the reality show.
Many praised Geno for turning his life around after battling drug and alcohol addiction. Several also praised him for getting sober and looking healthier and happier after splitting from mum June.
