Gisele Bundchen reportedly consulted a lawyer about her divorce from husband Tom Brady seven years ago, according to a report.

Bundchen, 42, first consulted a divorce attorney in 2015 after a secret split with the NFL superstar, Page Six reported, citing multiple unnamed sources.

The supermodel and athlete reportedly split up a few times over the years before their alleged “epic fight” in August led to their latest split, sources claimed to the report. The International Business Times was unable to independently verify this information.

“Tom and Gisele have broken up in the past. Every couple of years they have a big fight and she’s left Tom in the past but he’s always come back,” a source “in the know” told Page Six. “They always worked through things and Tom hoped they would again this time.”

Anonymous sources close to Bundchen also told TMZ this week that Bundchen threatened to divorce Brady multiple times over the years because of his football career.

In February, Brady announced his retirement after more than two decades in the NFL. However, he changed his mind and reversed his decision six weeks later, saying he still belongs on the field.

Bundchen is reportedly unhappy with his decision to retire. “Gisele has always been the one with the kids. They had agreed that she would retire to focus on the family, then she changed her mind,” an unnamed source told Page Six.

The last time Bundchen and Brady had a big fight is believed to have been two years ago, but they hit it off that time, Page Six reported.

However, both stars recently hired divorce lawyers in Florida, where they live, signaling a possible end to their 13-year marriage, according to the report.

Bundchen is reportedly “tired” of putting her own dreams on hold while her husband continues to prioritize his career over their family, an unnamed source told Entertainment Tonight.

“Rumours of marital issues between Tom and Gisele started towards the end of the summer, and more recently, things have gotten worse and more serious,” the source told ET. “She wasn’t in a good place. Gisele feels that Tom has chosen his career over his family and she’s tired of it. She also has her own dreams and ambitions and doesn’t want to keep putting her goals. They weigh their options for their future as a family and thinking about what the next steps might be.”

Brandi reportedly feels “very hurt” by Bundchen, who is reportedly the one “driving the divorce,” People reported, citing an unnamed person close to the athlete.

“She plays offense and he plays defense,” the source added. “He wants to protect himself, protect his interests, but he’s just starting to go down the legal route of defending himself from her. He doesn’t want this to be ugly, he doesn’t want to fight. If the divorce happens — and it looks like it is — wants it to go as smoothly as possible.”
