What’s old is becoming new again, and right now, there’s some strong nostalgia for the ’90s. And what’s more ’90s than a bunch of teenagers in ninja suits jumping into a giant robot to fight giant monsters? Obviously, we’re talking specifically about the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Today, Hasbro revealed brand new Power Rangers figures based on the characters from the first season of the TV series that will be exclusive to Walmart.
As part of the Walmart Collector Con reveals, GameSpot has an early and closer look at three of the upcoming figures: Red Ranger, Black Ranger, and Yellow Ranger. All three of these collectibles will be available in January 2023 and will retail for $15 each. Let’s take a look at all three.
Red Ranger

The leader of the original Power Rangers team, Red Ranger was the alter ego of Jason — played by Austin St. John. He piloted the Tyrannosaurus Zord and wielded his iconic Power Sword.
This Red Ranger figure comes with two weapon accessories – one of which is the Power Sword – and a T-Rex coin. As you can see, the packaging for the figure has a retro feel and is plastic-free, so it’s better for the environment.
Black Ranger

Who doesn’t love Zack, the Black Power Ranger? He was played by Walter Jones–who had a fantastic cameo in 2016’s Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping–the Black Ranger pilot of the Mastodon Zord, whose head became a strange shield for the Megazord.
The Black Ranger figure comes with his trusty Power Axe, a blaster and a Mastodon coin. Like many of Hasbro’s action figures, he’s incredibly articulated so you can put him in all the coolest poses. Once again, there’s cool retro packaging, which you can see above.
Yellow Ranger

Finally, there is Trini, the Yellow Ranger. Played by Thuy Trang, the Yellow Ranger piloted the Sabretooth Tiger Zord and was a huge favorite with many Power Rangers fans.
Like the rest of the Rangers in this collection, the Yellow Ranger also comes with a few accessories: Power Daggers, a blaster, and a Sabretooth Tiger coin. There are many points of articulation on this figure, as well as the cool retro packaging.
As previously mentioned, these Walmart exclusives won’t be available until early next year. However, you will be able to ensure that they are sent to your home for collection. All of these Rangers will be available for pre-order starting October 6th at 10am. ET on Walmart .
