NOT! Anker Soundcore 3
£39.99 £27.99 on Amazon (opens in new tab)
OK, yes, it’s a solid thing, and a 30% saving on an already cheap Bluetooth speaker is definitely not to be sniffed at, but we I have we once saw it cheaper by a few pennies, and as you’ll see in our review, it’s an older model and was replaced in 2020.
Yes, it impressed us with its 24-hour battery life, durable build quality and water resistance. It’s also a solid and nice thing, but its sound quality leaves a little to be desired.
What to look for instead? Why, the newest Anker Soundcore 3, which is also part of the Amazon Prime Day Early Access sale! That’s 32% off, so it’ll only cost you £37.99 (opens in new tab) (regular price £56!) if you buy it today. You are welcome.
WARM! Sony WH-1000XM5:
$399.99 $348 at Amazon.com (opens in new tab) / £316 £299 at Amazon.co.uk (opens in new tab)
If you’ve stumbled across this message and want a deal on new wireless over-ear headphones, look no further – you’ve found the ultimate October Prime Day deal. This saving of 22% (in the UK) or 13% (if you’re in the States) on Sony’s winning 2022 cans is Amazon’s best October New Year deal yet. Fight me.
Why; They are the latest in the truly game-changing and iconic WH-XM series (see WH-1000XM4 and WH-1000XM3 as a testament to their noble bloodline), they were only released in May 2022, and because the sound and skill set are still a little bit better than the boxes they replace, seeing them discounted for Prime Day Early Access is a double-take inducer of the highest order. And check out the deal! The XM5s are every inch a premium set of Sony cans – we don’t have the words to give them the praise they deserve here, but five star review is the place to go for clarification (note the phrase “still the best in the business”).
Okay so they don’t fold into the headband anymore. And what about this? What do you need to carry with you that is more important than good quality music? Trust me, they’re worth the extra space in your bag…
