Manchester United FAILED to break into the top 20 of the 50 best clubs in world football right now

Manchester United failed to secure a place in the top 20 clubs in world football at the moment, despite moving up one place in the rankings.

The Red Devils have not won the Premier League title since legendary former manager Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.

United have cut and changed managers since Ferguson’s departure in a bid to climb back to the top of England’s top flight.

David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have all been on the door to United, with Erik ten Hag now at Old Trafford.

FiveThirtyEight has released the latest update to its world club rankings, with 643 international teams compared using the Soccer Power Index (SPI).

Manchester United moved up one place in the table to 22nd, with the Premier League club receiving an SPI score of 76.4.
