While the American League takes a day off after Game 1, the senior circuit continues with a pair of Game 2s of the NLDS on Wednesday.
The Atlanta Braves evened their series with the Philadelphia Phillies after a three-hour rain delay changed the start time. Out West, the Los Angeles Dodgers host the San Diego Padres, which airs on FS1.
Here are all the top plays from Wednesday’s Game 2.
San Diego Padres at Los Angeles Dodgers
Starting with a BANG
Manny Machado took Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw deep into left field in the top of the first inning, giving San Diego a 1-0 lead. It was their first lead in the series.
He took it back
Freddie Freeman hit a solo home run off Padres starting pitcher Yu Darvish in the bottom of the first, tying the score at one apiece.
Another solo shot
Max Muncy hit the Dodgers’ second home run of the game to right-center in the bottom of the second, giving them a 2-1 lead.
Another Machado RBI
The Padres led off the top of the third with a pair of singles. Machado then hit an RBI double down the left field line. San Diego tied it at two.
Productive outside
Jake Cronenworth grounded out to first, but scored Juan Soto from third. The Padres led 3-2.
Three routes in three houses
Trea Turner joined the home run party for the Dodgers, blasting a solo shot to left in the bottom of the third to once again tie the score.

Atlanta Braves 3, Philadelphia Phillies 0
1-2-3 1st period
Kyle Wright went down on the right foot for the Braves, leaving the Phillies down to open the first.
However, Zack Wheeler did the same for the Phillies.
Great capture… by the fan
A Braves fan made a nice block on a foul ball hit by Matt Olson down the left field line.
What a catch!
Dansby Swanson made one of his best catches of the season in the top of the sixth. The shortstop ran to left center and made a remarkable catch to get the Braves out of the inning. The game remained tied.
The brave break the ice
With two outs in the bottom of the sixth, Olson hit a ball under Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins, scoring Ronald Acuna from second and giving the Braves a 1-0 lead.
Runs of two outs
An at-bat later, Austin Riley hit an infield hit, scoring Atlanta’s second run of the game. Then the next batter, Travis d’Arnaud, hit an RBI single to center field. Atlanta took a 3-0 lead.
Another impressive catch
With a runner on in the top of the eighth for the Phillies, Riley made an unbelievable catch on foul ground near the tarp for the second out of the inning. The Phillies didn’t threaten in their final outs.
