Animal Crossing: New Horizons was released during the pandemic and features the usual mechanics from previous games in the franchise with the only difference being that it takes place on an island. Players can harvest and sell fruits and crops, donate to the museum, and upgrade their shops and home with the goal of becoming an island paradise that attracts potential land buyers to Tom Nook’s landlord business. Along with level ups, players can also access customization tools to make their island more personal to their liking. This could mean changing a route to match the tropical aesthetic or creating an outfit that matches an in-game or out-of-game character. They can be shared with other players via drawing codes and added with mobile devices already established in the game.
Reddit user Jones2173 certainly found a somewhat annoying but equally creative way to get his own KK Slider costume in the game just in time for Halloween. The player used the available white body paint in the game, which is unlocked during the Halloween event, and paired it with a pure white dress. The player then equipped the in-game accessory called “dog nose” which looks exactly like KK Slider’s nose along with some white socks. The final touches to create KK Slider’s famous eyebrows were added through the use of a custom design and in-game guitar case. All designs and items combined to create a convincing yet terrifying KK Slider outfit.
This is just one impressive example of his fandom Animal Crossing: New Horizons using custom designs and in-game items to create something neat.
