Overwatch 2 allows players to talk to the bot in Push maps

Push is a new game mode introduced in Overwatch 2, and one player has discovered a neat easter egg for the mode’s giant robot.

With his release Overwatch 2, Blizzard has brought a number of major changes to the team-based hero shooter, including 5v5 matches, three new heroes, and several new maps. Additionally, another highlight of the sequel is the original game mode called Push.


While Overwatch 2 has brought back most of the pre-existing game modes from the original 2016 game, Push offers a new take on the team-based hero shooter. As the name suggests, the game mode revolves around escorting a giant robot as it pushes a barricade towards the enemy team’s spawn. This new game type often makes for exciting gameplay as each team tries to wrestle control of the robot away from their opponents in a manner not dissimilar to a tug-of-war.

One of the highlights of the game mode that many fans seem to enjoy is the bot, and one fan has pointed out that it’s quite friendly. Recently, a player known as White-Sister-Rom on Reddit shared a video of a game of Push on the Colosseo map on Overwatch 2. The short video began with the Reddit user standing on top of a bridge as he looked at the robot that was being escorted by the enemy team. Instead of shooting the opposing players, White-Sister-Rom just said “hello” and waved. To their surprise, the robot said “hello” as it passed under the bridge.

This new clip from White-Sister-Rom has confirmed the suspicions of some of its members Overwatch 2 community on Reddit. While the robot can talk during the match, providing short vocal lines related to pushing the payload, many players thought it had greeted them as well. It’s worth noting that it’s currently unclear if there are more ways for players to interact with the bot. Regardless, many fans enjoyed the cute Easter egg, and it seems likely that more players will attempt to chat with the bot in Push maps in the future.

This is just one of the many discoveries players have made while playing Overwatch 2 since it was released several days ago. While even logging into the game was difficult at first due to DDoS attacks and long wait times, it seems that many more players are finally getting access to the expected sequel. Just one of the other discoveries players have made in the game is a bug that gives players gold weapons during Overwatch 2 matches. Time will tell what fans will find next in the Push in maps Overwatch 2. Perhaps, the bot will have more to say to players in the future.
