Some Overwatch 2 Players tried to merge their accounts but received a nonsensical and funny message. Overwatch 2 was released a few days ago, but its launch has been far from smooth as players have reported many issues with the game ranging from connection issues and other technical issues to issues with the game’s design.
Not being able to merge accounts was one of the biggest problems players faced. Since then, Blizzard has claimed to have a working solution for the merging issues they are experiencing Overwatch 2 users, but it will take some time due to the huge number of requests. Blizzard has confirmed that players’ data is not lost and they should start seeing their full collections once the merge is complete. However, many players received some ridiculously funny messages when they tried to merge their accounts when Overwatch 2 launched.
A Reddit user named Darchoy posted an image of the message he received when trying to migrate his account Overwatch 2. The message said the account is ready to migrate and Darchoy needs to close the game to start. Just below, the message said it would take about 243 days to complete the process. That’s not the highest number of days either, as another Reddit post far surpassed it.
Shared by a player named spacedust413, this image also confirmed that the account is ready for migration, but then stated that it will take around 324 days to complete. The Redditor called Overwatch 2He started a disaster, upset that all the heroes and their cosmetics were locked until this process was completed. Additionally, they were unable to do challenges or even access the battle section of the menu.
Many users have reported that seeing a set date, despite apparently being bugged, is still better than the message they were getting when trying to migrate. This is what one player said Overwatch 2 it didn’t even recognize their account and treated them as a new user. So it seemed to them that all the progress they had made was gone. Some users jokingly mention that they have to wait for the next one Overwatch game to get their items back.
As a consequence, Overwatch 2 the review is being bombarded for the sheer number of issues the player base is experiencing. Complaints aren’t limited to the technical side either, as some have expressed issues with Blizzard’s free-to-play monetization practices.
Overwatch 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
