The National Archives of Scotland released Queen Elizabeth II’s death certificate on Thursday, exactly three weeks after the Queen died on September 8.
The certificate states that the Queen’s cause of death was “old age”. The 96-year-old sovereign “died peacefully” in Balmoral, Scotland.
Her time of death is listed as 3:10 p.m. BST, which was almost three hours before the public was informed.
Elizabeth’s occupation reads “Her Majesty the Queen”.
The Queen’s only daughter, Princess Anne, is cited as the informant of her death.
